Hello! We are a small nonprofit looking to help combat climate change while supporting communities with Indigenous Heritage. The organization has grown over just two years solely on the volunteer efforts of a few hopeful individuals. It is an empowering experience to be able to come together and take action for the issues of the world. And we'd like to invite to work alongside us to share or develop your skills. Ruta Verde strives to support the development of societies that operate in a sustainable fashion. To achieve such a society we must practice the use of sustainable practices and technologies that supply us with our necessities while reducing the amount of resources we use. It's for this reason that we are looking to put to practice so we can better understand the use of technologies like Aquaponics - a method of growing edible plants, raising fish, while reducing water consumption compared to traditional agriculture. Our Walipini Greenhouses help to extend the growing season into colder weathers by using the soil it stands on to help with heat regulation - a techology that allows for efficient greenhouses that also use less materials to build.
